Owen,go kill yourself.
This comment is not appropriate in this space. I kindly ask you to consider how this kind of language can affect others. People hear this kind of language daily and it is very hurtful to see repeated, even if it’s directed at a fictional character, and especially at a gay character. Sorry I really didn’t want to be offensive,I was just joking.I love this comic and all of the characters, sorry for the disease, best regards!
Sam’s not gay, if that’s what Owen is playing at. Sam is a guy. Does not matter what he was born as, it’s what he feels he is.
Yes but while we, the reader, know that Sam is a boy, Owen, who has had no known contact with Sam until now, only knows him as ‘Frank’s sister’. As far as Owen’s concerned, or is aware, Sam is a girl, who clearly likes another girl.
OR…. Owen thinks being annoying is hereditary 😛
Daw it was Adi~~! Could their relationship get any more adorable? ^.^
Also, I think the hate Owen has been getting on the last few pages is awful, you can’t expect everyone to understand every strangers position and cater their speech to be 100% appropriate to every situation. Gender aside I can only guess Sam doesn’t really fit in regardless, and so far Owen has been nothing but friendly and conversational, very teasing yes, but never in a mean way.
Yah, this. You guys can’t be being mean to Owen because we, the AUDIENCE, knows something about a character that is practically a stranger to him. Is he suppose to assume Sam is a transgender because of the short hair style? If so… every girl with a short hairstyle is a transgender :/. Though, that sort of logic isn’t going to get a person far.
Sorry for the aggressive tone in my comment… but fo’ real. I like Owen. No reason to hate him for stuff he has no way of knowing.
Owen’s version of Gay Seal everybody: Eloquent and Snarky.
I wonder if/when/how Sam will come out as a ‘he’?
Owen: the personification of sassafrass
sigh….nothing has happened in this comic for the past 30 or so pages. When is something going to happen? It was really, really good up until the part where they woke up in bed together. All the good bits leading up to that were skipped and since then I have no idea what has been going on. Nothing at all has happened. Nothing. Art is fantastic. Writing is a bit lacking.
To be perfectly honest I don’t go around making comments that can be taken as argumentative or otherwise unpleasant so I’m sorry and apologize if I’m about to come off this way.
Firstly how dare you. I have no idea what you think you can accomplish by posting here that you are unsatisfied with the story progression but it’s rude and that’s really the bottom line.
Secondly the term ‘good bits’ is entirely subjective. I assume however that by ‘good bits’ you mean sex and tongue. I’m sorry if you think this comic exists to solely highlight the ‘good bits’. This comic has proved time and time again that it’s main goal is not to to let the boys nether regions take over but instead to explore sexuality, coming of age, making decisions for your future, and trying to juggle all that with a growing relationship.
Also you say nothing has happened in the last 30 pages but do you have any idea what character development is? Frank has begun to seriously think about his future. It’s hinted that Lee can no longer talk to cats which in case you haven’t noticed is kind of a pivotal plot point and will probably be a point of conflict in coming chapters. I mean it’s alluded to in the very title itself. Furthermore we now have a better idea of how people reacted to Frank and Lee coming out. Then we have Kori setting up the mystery of these tests Lee is going to take. So I don’t know if were reading the same comic or if you just can’t contain your need for sexy times and are thereby missing the point entirely.
Like really? REALLY? An entire arc just closed in the comic, you know the one in which the boys become a couple?, so please try to find it in your heart to forgive the artist/writer for taking time to set up the new arc much like Kori has to find time in their day to sit down and produce this comic.
In case you haven’t gathered: Prince of Cats does not exist for the ‘good bits’. It does not exist to post sex and making out every eight pages. It doesn’t exist to have a superficial story line. And it most certainly does NOT exist to please people that think that complimenting art is a good way distract from their out of place, rude, and overall insensitive opinions.
“it’s rude and that’s really the bottom line.” – very, very true. I’m glad to see someone else with those thoughts.
I honestly thought Owen was referring to their behavior. The term “hereditary” honestly has nothing to do with homosexuality and would not make sense in this instance, seeing as they’re siblings, not father and child/etc. At least that’s how I interpreted it.
I honestly always take the ‘heredity’ comment to be about liking Adi, because no one else besides Frank really seems to, or if they do they are not part of Owen’s circle and out of his knowledge.
Also, up to this point it seems very hush-hush that Sam is trans*, we actually saw her transfer to a him early on in the story. And Sam never corrects people about it. We’ve never seen Sam go “Actually, could you use ‘he'” or any of the sort, so Owen really does not know he is in the wrong. And Frank does say that he has “two sisters” he never quite-uuggh- I hate using the word /outs/ but I have no better word for it, Sam as, well, a ‘Sam’.
Sure, he looks a bit down when people get it wrong, but if he actually corrected people constantly this would be a different story. Owen is literally working off of what he knows, and that is that Frank has two /sisters/, and they both like Adi.
In my opinion, it seems that Owen is saying that the like for Adi is hereditary.
And has it ever even been stated in story that Sam is a he?
Hereditary like, “liking Adi runs in the family” or “being gay runs in the family” -hereditary?
